Todd Adkison has driven financial and organizational improvements in businesses for nearly 30 years. After beginning his career at a Big Five accounting firm, he built his own successful CPA practice, which he led for 12 years before transitioning into his first CFO role. He has spent nearly a decade as a CFO, delivering demonstrated improvements in both financial results and operational efficiency to three different firms.
Todd’s work at AvinnaCFO is focused on increasing the value of his clients’ businesses, often in the context of executing a major transition. Whether this means setting up a new financial structure, creating a mutually amenable succession plan, or preparing for an acquisition or sale, Todd’s experience and steady hand are vital in guiding clients through evolutions that leave them in a stronger position.
In addition to his CPA designation, Todd holds a master’s degree in Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama, as well as a bachelor’s degree in in Accounting from Auburn University. He enjoys life outside the office where he is an enthusiastic fisherman and avid aviator.
For more than two decades, businesses have benefited from Michael Livengood’s financial and strategic leadership. After starting in accounting, he embarked on his first controller position in 2005 — a role he filled for a variety of firms over the next 10 years. In 2015, Michael was promoted to vice president of Business Development where he led several successful acquisitions for the Marmon Group (a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway).
Today Michael uses his vast financial and operational experience along with his passion for value creation to advise AvinnaCFO’s clients.
Michael holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Manderson School of Business at the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In addition to his CPA designation, he also achieved certification in business data analytics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He actively serves his community as a youth baseball and soccer coach and an undergraduate professor at a small community college. Michael stays active by running (including finishing a marathon) and backpacking (including the Andes mountains in Peru).
Taylor Green has a 15-year track record of driving organizational change in companies that vary in size as well as industry. He started his career at several acclaimed financial services firms, including a Big Five accounting firm, before launching his own CPA practice in 2008. While there, he grew his client base to over 100, including several businesses for which he functioned as controller and financial strategist.
Taylor joined a regional senior housing firm in 2012. In five years as its CFO, he built an eight-person financial team and implemented new systems and processes, including EOS®, the Entrepreneurial Operating System®. What followed were two successive operational roles that transformed one community from under-performer to award-winner. He then coached other market leaders to effect similar improvements at their properties. He now brings the ethos and energy of a turnaround specialist to AvinnaCFO.
Taylor earned a master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama in addition to his CPA designation. He thrives in the outdoors where he enjoys camping, fly fishing and trail running.
